Rich People, Poor People, All Got Dreams.

”Dreams are the easiest part.”

My daddy used to say that even the devil dare to dream. He wanted to usurp God Almighty but he got a mighty kicking and landed his whiffy butt on earth!

I got dreams too… The good kind.

I want to make people happy, clothe the poor, feed the hungry and make people smile. If I could, I want to wipe tears off Peoples’ faces, I want nations to love one another (that’s a tall dream, sceptics may say, after all, there has been wars from the foundation of the world). All the same, love is important, it’s beautiful and could really save the world! I want the Israelis and Palestinians to let bygones be bygones. I want South Sudan to stop their stupidity and halt the senseless war looming over their innocent citizens. I want to dine with Prince William (and ask him to buy copies of my three books!) Kate, hope you don’t mind? 😉

I got dreams too…

I want to stop the uneasiness clouding people when they see someone whose skin is not as pale or as dark as theirs. I want Syria to stop the bloodshed, I want Nigerians to stop their corruption, I want all religions to be devoid of hatred, in a nutshell?

I want PEACE in all nations, among all people. I want this home of ours (earth) to be a paradise. We shouldn’t forget what’s important, and aptly put, it’s that four letter word, love! Love your friends, neighbours and I believe that would ultimately make the world a better place.

I sure got tall dreams guys! 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your week and I hope you’ll all have peace wherever you are in the world!

Much love, always. 🙂

Light From Within…

Darkness couldn’t snuff out that light

A light so bright it blot out all pain

Light so bright, it hid my sin.

Sickness couldn’t blot out that light,

Death failed in its grip,

It couldn’t blot out that light

The light is from within

The light of hope

The light of love,

The light of kindness.

Allow your light to shine

Be the hope of strangers,

Be the strength of the poor

When you allow that light from within,

You’ll neither know sorrow nor sadness

For the king of ages

Himself,

Would be your

Light From Within…

This year is slowly drawing to a close. It’s been eventful, at times painful but I am thankful for my family and friends. We’ve all had a blast. I have 10,000 reasons to thank God, I could list all the reasons but then you would be bored! In all, I love you all and appreciate your love and friendships! Let Your Light Shine… 🙂

Have a fantastic 2014!

Much love,

Always! 🙂

Infinity…

“All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.”
― Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet In Heaven.

”My life flashed before my eyes.

I saw heaven and hell passed beneath my feet, I almost slipped on mould and blood.

My hatred flashed venoms at me, I gazed at hopes I thought gone, my blood boiled.

I bath with forgiveness and left bitterness behind.

I glided towards the void as life met my weakness.

Horrors assailed my sins and I bowed in pain.

What is my hope? When shall I see your face again?

Your cute rosy cheeks burned my skin and I flinched

as blood rushed to my cheeks.

I love you my angel…

But I know your end is only the beginning.

I’m determined to see you again, someday!”

******

Life is short… I always say that but I’ll take my words back today. Life is endless, it’s infinity and what we do really echoes through eternity. I tried to summarise my emotions into this poem, and you really have to be my friend, to really care and understand what I’m  trying to say.  A part of me passed away yesterday, a part I’ve never even met… a baby. My sister’s baby. I tried to hold it in but I couldn’t anymore. Believe me, I fought so hard and though I didn’t get to meet him and hold him in my arms, I felt him in my spirit.

His breath passed my face in my dreams.

“Holding anger is a poison…It eats you from inside…We think that by hating someone we hurt them…But hatred is a curved blade…and the harm we do to others…we also do to ourselves.”   ―     Mitch Albom

I love Mitch’s words because I was angry at the circumstances surrounding my sister’s baby but that’s life… And as much as I hate to write this post, I had to. But this year  has been good, and I’m still grateful for what God has enabled me to achieve.

I would still write another post before the end of this year, and if you’d endured my ramblings thus far, thanks for stopping by!

Much love, always!

On This Day…

I love this wonderful quote from American author, Neale Donald Walsch:

”On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know…that there is a solution to all of this- and it is right around the next corner.

A few weeks from now, you will not even be facing this problem. A few months from now, you will have forgotten you ever had it. A few years from now, you will wonder why you let yourself worry so much.”

I don’t want to  add more to this because it’s self-explanatory, though some situations in life takes more than weeks to resolve but all the same, worrying is stressful, even though it’s in our nature as humans to worry, but we can live better lives if we eschew that two headed monster and enjoy ourselves. Like the storm that battered us in the UK today, that’s life – sometimes predictable, sometimes not!

So on this day… and this week, I hope it would be interesting, peaceful and productive for you all wherever you are in the world!

Much love, always!

My Hearfelt Wish!

‘Happy birthday mom!’

My eleven year old son congratulated me this morning, gave me a bear hug, a kiss, money, and cards as presents. My husband, daughter, little son did the same!

I’m really rich now! 😉

Anyway, my son had this amused look on his face when he asked,

‘Mom what do you really wished for today?’

I looked at him, he’s going to secondary next September, and he knows me like the palm of his hands. I didn’t answer him, rather, I went downstairs, opened the door and staring at my lawn, I saw images of people of all nations, ethnic groups, hugging each other and Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a wonderful world’ came to my mind.

I see trees of green…….. red roses too
I see em bloom….. for me and for you
And I think to myself…. what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue….. clouds of white
Bright blessed days….dark sacred nights
And I think to myself …..what a wonderful world.

The colours of a rainbow…..so pretty ..in the sky
Are also on the faces…..of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands…..saying.. how do you do
They’re really saying……I love you.

I hear babies cry…… I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more…..than I’ll never know
And I think to myself …..what a wonderful world

The colours of a rainbow…..so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces…..of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands…..saying.. how do you do
They’re really saying…*spoken*(I ….love….you).

I hear babies cry…… I watch them grow
*spoken*(you know their gonna learn
A whole lot more than I’ll never know)
And I think to myself …..what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself …….what a wonderful world.

I closed the door, and went upstairs, hugging him briefly, I said,

‘I want peace, love, and safety for all.’

He didn’t say anything. When he was ready to go to school, I had the strangest feeling. If I could physically stand before God today,  I’ll tell him the same,

‘I want peace, food, shelter and safety for all.’

I wish you’ll all have peace and safety wherever you are in the world, have a great week! I’m going to do a bit of shopping after work from my cash windfall. I love you all!

Peace. 🙂

The Plunge!

‘The step between prudence and paranoia

is short and deep.

Prudence wears a seatbelt,

Paranoia avoids cars altogether.

Prudence washes with soap;

Paranoia avoids human contact altogether.

Prudence saves for old age;

Paranoia clings to every penny!

Prudence prepares and plans;

Paranoia panics.

Prudence calculates the risks and takes the plunge;

paranoia never enters the water.’

 * * * * * *

I read this today and it had a profound effect on me. I have been extremely busy at work, and coupled with my upcoming book, it was like walking in a sea of unending deadlines. But then I paused and allowed these words sink into my spirit, mulling it over, I realised that as humans, we’re certainly creatures of comfort, and taking the plunge could be easier said than done.

What do I mean by plunges? They’re simply changes, making new decisions and following them through. Having faith in God and yourself (if you believe in God) and stepping out to make the needed changes to your life. To reach a glorious destiny, you have to stop holding back. Some have changed their lives by going to college and following their dreams, others signed up for reality shows, and some, just improving their skills by attending night school.

But you must first take the plunge!

I need to apologise for my silence, I have been inundated with work and had certainly missed a lot of posts. Please bear with me, and I’ll catch up soon. I’ll be travelling out of London this weekend but would be back next week, before then, I’ll still visit your wonderful websites!

Have a fantastic month!  October had always been my best month (I was born in October! 😉 ) and as the weekend inch closer, just have fun and enjoy life!

Much love, always!

Temporary…

I like this wise saying from American author Napoleon Hill that, ‘one of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat.’

Defeat can be an ongoing thing when we give up. Most of us know the story of Abraham Lincoln, how he failed severally before becoming a President people celebrate till today. I’ve seen countless temporary defeats (I’ll call it delay) in my short life, but do you know what I do? I learn from it and find out what caused the delay in the first place and do it again. And I tend to succeed,

I just don’t pack it in and give up!

Life is too short and too beautiful to give up at the first sign of defeat. I laugh at the face of danger and failure, because I have a dream of what my life should be and I’m not gonna rest till I achieve my goal and purpose in life. Do you know that you can beat cancer? Poverty? Low self-esteem? And all those dross of life that makes living akin to running a race in the mud! It’s all in your mind.

My husband used to say this and I agree, ‘you’re the only one that can make yourself happy… no one can!” And I will add this as well, that you’re the complete integral part or clue to your success in life. I can go on and on but I hope this week will be a great week for you… and if there is a temporary defeat lurking at a corner of your life, just pick yourself up and go again.

I wish you love and peace wherever you are in the world, and remember, temporary defeat doesn’t mean failure! Enjoy the rest of your week my friends!

Much love, always!

Our Golden Moments

We can’t always control what happens to us in life

We can’t always decide how life will turn out.

We can’t always wish problems away

Or conjure up visions of peace and have it in our palms.

We can’t decide how long our days may be,

Or the years we live on this earth.

We lie when we think we are immortals

Man born of a woman is of few days

Like a vapour in the wind.

But we can control the moments we live in this life.

And I call it our golden moments.

Life can always throw up a punch we least expected

But we can LIVE life the way we want.

By prolonging our golden moments under the sun,

By helping the poor,

By not turning away the needy with empty hands when we can fill it up with wealth

By putting a smile on people’s faces – even strangers

By loving all and despising none.

Then we will have earned our golden moments!

I am so happy to write this post, I’ve missed every one of you my dear friends. My holiday took longer than expected, a few visits from family abroad means I couldn’t blog and had to postpone a lot of work. But I know you guys have been having fun, I’ll join in the party and read as many posts as possible. Above all, I wish you more love, more peace, wherever you are in the world. Have a fantastic weekend!

Love, always!

The Act Of Emptying…

Morning Glory

At one time or the other in our lives, we had stuffs weighing us down which reminded me of the words of Jon Gordon, he says. ”We fill our minds with thoughts that hold us back, habits that limit us, distractions that derail us, negative people who drain us, fear that paralyses us, time-sappers that sabotage our productivity. We spend so much time and energy on things that don’t matter – we fail to focus on what does matter. We fill up with so many things that generate negative energy, there’s no room for positive energy in our lives.”

And today, this minute, this week and throughout the rest of this year or our days, I want us to learn the act of emptying, removing all those negative energy and renewing our minds. According to my daily devotion, the author state that we need to lose the clutter in our lives and I quote,

” The clutter you need to lose includes: believing that you’re alone ( and you’re not! ) trying to please everybody (I don’t try to), feeling insecure, putting yourself down, needing everybody to like you (it’s not possible, even dead people still have enemies!) jumping to negative conclusions before you know the fact (I’m sometimes guilty of this), thinking you’re always right (bah!) recalling all the times you messed up, wanting to know how it all turns out, needing to have all the answers (that can only happen in another planet I guess 🙂 ), worrying that if you let go of the memorabilia you’ll lose the memories, agonising that you’re not rich enough (everyone can’t be Bill Gate or Oprah Winfrey), good enough or clever enough, surrounding yourself with people who remember the bad times and not the good, (lose them!) making energy sucking comparisons, viewing life like a movie instead of participating, believing that the best days are over, waiting at all times for the right moment, fearing you will look foolish, focusing on negative type-casting…”

Believe me, the list goes on, but how on earth can you empty your heart and fill it with positive energy? Through the spirit, the spirit of God can renew your attitudes. We can do the direct opposites of the lists above, and believe me, that’s the art of emptying your clustered minds and lives. I don’t have all the answers of life but I do enjoy my life and you can too!!

Have a fantastic week, and remember, YOU ARE THE BEST!

Much love, always. 🙂

A New Life

I watched in awe as splendour drips from your throne.

I asked you this questions,

How do you heal broken bones?

How do heal crushed spirits?

How do you heal broken homes?

How do you save man from himself?

How do you save the depressed?

The hungry?

The weak?

And the forgotten?

And you answered me, your eyes filled with kindness,

‘I infuse life

Look at my incredible creations,

the rolling hills, the birds, the flowers

my mountains in the clouds,

I give new life, even when the old wears away…’

Then I woke up.

This my poetic thought for this week, sometimes when we feel weak and tired of life, ( and it can happen to the most positive person on earth) just remember that you’re not alone. You’re not an accident in the equation of life, your life matters, you don’t have to believe in a God to know that life didn’t begin with ‘the big bang theory’ there is a reason for YOU. Let that be at the back of your mind through out this month. This is the first day of a beautiful month, a month that I hope would be free from heart aches and troubles for mankind, life is incredibly short but it can also be awesome and beautiful. I wish you sound health, peace and love where ever you are in the world! 🙂

I have missed many posts, friends, do bear with me, I promise to read all your awesome posts as soon as I can. I wish you all a prosperous and peaceful month, above all, please… Live well…

Much love, always.
