No Secret Ingredient

shutterstock_132016772

I watched this interesting film on Saturday, ‘Kunfu Panda.’ (It’s a great film, the story line is simply awesome!)

What really struck me about the film was when Po‘s dad told him something which really caught my attention. This duck dude, who was famed for his special noodles said,

‘There is no Secret Ingredient!!!…To make something special you just have to believe it’s special.’

Everyone thought Po’s dad had a secret ingredient which made his noodles tastier and different. But he simply believed in himself and his ability to make a great noddle.

You just have to believe in YOURSELF, your marriage, your friends, your job… Yeah, your job!

Self belief and self-confidence is not being cocky, or damn too sure of yourself. It is having the belief that you can scale greater heights… and succeed.

If you feel you’re worthless, believe me – you are, and why is that? You’ll start behaving in a worthless way, doing things that makes you agree with your thought processes! But the good  news is – because you FEEL something doesn’t make it right! You can actually change your thinking!  You can rise above your self doubts and lack of confidence.

And I think it’s really simple.

Every morning when you wake up, look in the mirror and say,

‘I can do anything I want to do today!’ (Positive things!)

And believe me, you can, when you believe!

Have a great day everyone!!

Much love, always.

Yup, I believe in myself, my abilities, my dreams. Yup, I sure do 🙂 (there’s a tune in my head now)

Trusting one’s ability is very important. It brings out the hero in us even when others may think otherwise. This is a very helpful post, sis. I believe it will touch even the melancholic spirit.

One extreme serious great phrase “to make something special you just have to believe it’s special” – in my eyes it is damn bloody (sorry) great – it’s so important to believe in what we do otherwise we shouldn’t do it – I’m not religious but have the most greatest respect when other people are – it’s all about motivation to establish positive waves and believe in what you do – the world aren’t white or black – it’s grey – we all have to make all the wonderful colors together – to believe the world are colorful – in commom whatever we believe… 🙂 😉

You always give me something to mull over, to think on! Thanks for that insightful comment dear friend. I especially love your phrase, ‘the world aren’t white or black – it’s grey.’ And it is, indeed. It’s what we make of it that matters! Thanks for stopping by!
      🙂

I also love Kung Fu Panda. If you feel positive about yourself, others will treat you with respect. You are who you are, embrace it and move forward in the world feeling proud of yourself.

  7. Become your own self-fulfilling prophecy by believing in yourself!

  9. Simply put, it pays to be a BELIEVER in ones self and all that is good and inspiring. It all starts with the Individual involved. Thanks alot for bringing this on. Keep up the good work ok.

I love this… Love writing like this too! What’s the latest on your plate today, Sandra? Along with a dawn service tomorrow (a day of remembrance here for Gallipoli fallen, to today’s, etc), I’ll be trying to work out a writing piece, as I’m not sure which direction it will go..

    • Seyi sandra says:

Hey Sean, thanks for that! I’m editing my new novel, it should be out – hopefully by the end of August! I’m looking forward to reading your piece! (I’m sure you’ll string together a great piece about Gallipoli then) I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant, as always!
      Cheers. 🙂

There is only one Person who never lost sight of the value of every person. Day after day Jesus treated women and men…old and young…poor and rich…sick and healthy as if they all were important. Even when offered the kingdoms of the world for a moment of blind interest….He didn’t cave in. He consistently saw something in others worth dying for.

    • Seyi sandra says:

Well said, just as Jesus saw value in people, whomsoever they are – we should also see value in others and ourselves. Thanks for your comment and your visit.
      Blessings. 🙂

What a great post. i often make life complicated by thinking and looking for something that doesn’t exist. It is within me to live an uncomplicated life. It’s not the stuff life brings that cause it to be complicated, it’s me. I have been saying that I am far more knowledgeable than I am obedient. I don’t need to discover, or uncover another secret. Simply know who I am, secrets not included.
