Can Love Overcome Darkness?

paperbackfront original

I’m pleased to finally introduce the cover of the second edition of the ‘The Feet Of Darkness’ to you my friends! The e-book is now live, if you click on this link   http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BJ6LJHC  it would take you directly to the Amazon.com website, the paperback would follow suit in March.

The blurb is something like this;

Imagine a world where the unseen rules and the seen are helplessly rooted in darkness.

A world where darkness reigns with gay impunity while evil spread its tentacles unabashed.

A world where darkness threatens all as powers beyond the comprehension of man threatens to eliminate all we know and holds dear.

In such a world, the only game left for all is survival, except…maybe…there are some chosen people somewhere, hiding beyond the darkness that can fight and liberate all…

Jezreel, a mighty angel saddled with the responsibility of preventing the impending doom chose three people to help salvage the destiny of humanity.

Michael, a gullible British scientist, Sharon, a quirky floundering young woman whose entire life is shroud in mystery and a sword-wielding believer, David, whose faith must endure the test of adversity. Would they succeed? Can love overcome darkness and eliminate the spirit of the power of the air?

Can love work its magic on a vengeful soul intent on revenge?

Can love conquer all?”

The novel is filled with twists and turns… I’m not going to review it but I’m glad it’s finally out of my hands, the cover was designed by my publisher, Arrow Gate Publishing. Editing and rewriting this novel was a great but exhausting experience, coupled with the fact that I’m totally in charge of a new company which demanded two hundred percent of my time!

I also have another company of three children (very demanding role) who needed their mama so I don’t really have the foggiest clue how I’ve been able and still able to pull things off! But I thank God for great family and friends who’ve supported me all the way!

I want to ask you my friends to help more, give a shout out about the release, the next few days and weeks would be hectic and fun-filled. There are lots of promotional buzz going on, my publisher, Arrow Gate have been wonderful.  I would update as things unfold!

My humble self was recently featured in a magazine interview by BBR production! It was an awesome experience and I’m profoundly grateful to Thomas J Belliza, check it out friends!

Life can throw some punches at you that you least expect and believe me friends, when it does, don’t be too afraid to ask for help.

”No man is an island,” my husband used to say and those words are true!
I had no intention of posting today because I’m neck-deep in several projects and while I was using my mental analytics to plan my next course of actions somebody suddenly walked up to me and said those magical words,

”I will help you!”

You see, this is someone I admire and love greatly and I know He can do more than what I’d asked Him to do but when He said those words, it was as if a very heavy load was lifted off my shoulders, I have someone to share my life with, my hopes, my dreams and yes, my writings!

So friends, if you’re at your wits’ end, don’t be afraid or too proud to ask for help, it might make a great difference to how this year turn out for you!

That’s all my friends!

Love always:)

Falling Stars And The Year Of Dreams…

Tough

The shadows inched closer and I watched the wind walking with the legs of a deer.

What kind of hope lie in wait for the coming year?

I have no idea, said the old man, new year

are best for great ideas.

Tears of the rainbow has nothing to do with the wishes of an orphan.

I lost a dear friend old man, I said, walking beside the sea of dreams

We all lose people at one time or the other, said the old man

The most important thing is not to lose yourself.

The year has been okay, I mused, wrapping my robes tighter

Others don’t have it so good.

People have died, dreams extinguished!

Then do something about it, he said and left me

I watched him go and I saw falling stars hitting my little

house beside the lake.

Strange, I sighed

Life is strange indeed, said the wind, dancing with the lake.

I saw the falling stars by my window

I tried to stop them but I couldn’t

How can I help?

Dear friends, it’s been a great year, some dreams go unfulfilled, others need more work but one thing I realise is, it’s never too late. New Years are for fresh ideas, hold your loved ones tighter, tighten up your belt and fill your mind with positive thoughts. Work hard and you’ll see great results. Things don’t always go the way we want sometimes, but that is why the sun ALWAYS rise again.

Don’t give up on yourself!

Happy New Year (in advance) great friends and I love you all!!!

Faith Of The Writer And Other Stories.

Faith Happens

Writing is serious business (or any other career for that matter) you write because you believed you have something unique to share to the world and it’s a very risky business indeed to labour, work tirelessly with little breaks churning out your literary best and not have faith in yourself.

Blogging is the same but slightly different. You can blog with only your close friends or family members as your audience and you might not give a hoot about having few or no followers perusing your page. Why? Because you’ve got nothing to lose.

But If writing is your business, your life and everything you live for then you are in big trouble if you don’t have faith, in yourself and in your prospective readers.

What do I mean by faith? It means to have confidence in your ability to carry your readers along, to write what they want to read and believe me that is hard work. Faith and vision are two separate things, your vision is your idea of what you perceived is right, it’s like a revelation, while faith is the confidence you have to even believe in your idea in the first place but the most important thing is to believe in yourself and mark my words, you will always find people who believe in your work too!

*******

Now, why not forget what I have just said about writing and just pick faith. Do you have faith in yourself and people around you? Or are you the kind of person who doesn’t trust easily?

I was that kind of person before (not anymore!) My motto  was ”guilty until proven innocent” I guess because I have been repeatedly lied to by people I really trust (especially female friends) and I just don’t believe a word people tell me anymore.

But as time goes on, I kind of had a change of heart. I don’t deal with the situation at hand, I deal with the person. I don’t need to have faith in someone before I love them, I just do! Regardless of what they might say or do, it doesn’t really matter. What is really important is, I don’t give myself headaches whether my friend is lying or telling the truth.

Succinctly put, my new motto is, ”Innocent until proven guilty

What about you? What is your motto? Do you trust easily?, Do you have faith in yourself and people around you?

Less Of A Monster!

A View of Earth from Saturn

A View of Earth from Saturn (Photo credit: alpoma)

Of recent, I have watched different programmes about the end of the world. And it really got me thinking of what really matters, not the bills which sneaked stealthily through my door this morning, nor my recalcitrant agent or my elusive publishers. None of this weighty issues bothered me this morning when I woke up but just this  composite thought. Our beautiful earth is groaning under the weight of incessant wars, uncontrollable population and sheer wickedness and cruelty directed towards all living things. The degree and level with which these atrocious acts have been repeatedly committed is alarming. And I thought, will the world truly come to an end?

Yes, there will be an end, but no one can really predict the exact time and moment. And you would think that sometimes we should just pause and reappraised our lives, but do we do that? Don’t know about you but I sure do once in a while, like now as I am writing this piece.

And I ask myself soliloquizing, are we living in a cocoon? Isolated from the real world or actually living in ‘a world village’ whereby we can integrate and live with anyone from any race, tribe or ideologies. Where there is nothing like been politically correct, where there is no cast system, where the smoky bridge between the rich and the poor are irrevocably extinguished.

But It was not so in the beginning. God created all things beautiful and then the devil came and mess it up right? Wrong! Humans did the messing up bit, we lost the plot big time. But how do we rectify it all, simple! By becoming less of a monster!!

But if the world will really come to an end then what is the essence of life itself? This is a question I often ask myself; why the race to be rich at all cost and at the same time why would you want to be a pauper? If the world should implode today due to our destructive natures and selfishness, what would have been the reason for it all in the first place?

Why was the earth created by God? Why create humans and allow them to build weapons of mass destruction to annihilate each other? Now, these are questions I can’t comfortably answer but I do know that God gave us free will, it’s up to you what you make of it!

And to all my questions above, I believe the essence of life is love. It’s as simple as that and I truly believe  God created the world out of His love for humanity and all the richness of the earth for us to enjoy.

Maybe time is running out but we can still make an impact. Whether the world ends when I finish writing this post or in five billion years. We can make a change. A random acts of kindness will make us less of a monster.

Thanks for reading my post!
