A Lone Wolf?

I’m happy to be blogging today, (and every other day!) I’ve buried my nose deep in various book projects which would be an ongoing thing throughout this year but I’ve missed my friends and I’m kind of ”bloggy lonely” ( that’s my language by the way) and I found out that loneliness is real but do you know it could be utilised in a good way?

There are times when we are lonely or we think we are lonely that we should rather be sober… I mean, think deeply about life, family, friends, career, strangers (yes, people you pass by on the street) the universe, what we’re doing with our lives, are we positively impacting others with our behaviours? Or are we like pests? Where we only take and take, never giving anything back in return? I do that sometimes, you know, reappraised my life and try to improve where I think I’m lacking and stuffs like that.

But I’m blessed with great friends and though a writer’s life could be lonely at times, where you’re surrounded by your characters even while you’re in a room full of people, your mind could still be racing, trying to figure out what to do with who…

Succinctly put, been a lone wolf is not actually a bad thing, but we shouldn’t forget to reach out when we ought to because there is time for everything in life…

I wish to appreciate all my friends and those who gave me awards, I’m profoundly grateful for the honour you guys have continually bestowed on me. In the meantime friends, love well, smile at strangers and be a cheer to a lonely heart today!

Have a great week!!!

Blessings to you all:)

Good to see you! I’ve missed hearing from you. Yes, characters can be good company… and certainly diverting when stuck in a boring situation!

Good to see you and you always have the most fulfilling words to think about. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your week as well.

  3. I think that blogging is a good way to connect with people that you might never be able to connect with. I doubt I would have ever met you if both of us didn’t blog! I am so grateful that you have shared your blog with me and that I have been able to share mine with you.

  4. I agree about appraising our lives once in a while. It helps us make room for joy and then it will be easier to smile 🙂 at friends and strangers… Hugs!

    Blessings ~ Wendy

There are times when being a lone wolf is productive because there are less distractions to keep you from your writing and your imaginary life, but we all must return to “real life” eventually and that means interacting with “real” people for better or worse.

  10. I like what you wrote about loneliness….that its not something to despise and runaway fr, but instead it’s simply an emotion we experience from time to time, and that there is a time for everything 🙂 I tend to be a loner so this struck a chord with me. Thanks for writing!

I echo your words, sis. Quoting Obasanjo [baba himself]: “a little to the left, a little to the right, abi no be so?” We all need quite times for reflection, but need the presence of friends and loved ones for a good balance in life.

    • Seyi sandra says:

Great baba himself, Obasanjo is hilarious but he’s saying the truth!!Thanks for your comment Uzoma, life is about balance like you rightly pointed out!
      Blessings:)

  12. “Bloggy lonely” is a good term 🙂 Yes I miss my community when I don’t blog either!

    • Seyi sandra says:

Awwwww! Thanks for that Christy, when you’ve got a lot on your plate, sometimes it takes super-human strength to blog and when you don’t, you feel as if you’re missing something, which you are (your friends)!
      Thanks for your kind comment:)

  13. Seyi, thank you for stopping and liking today’s post. I look forward to following what looks like a diverse and rich writing tapestry on your blog.

nice! yes..it is a problem when the human is only a receiver. then, my dear friend is only a animal how you said! is nothing else that an animal! the human person is a being who must provide love and affectin!

  15. I am a lone wolf…I don’t worry about it, and can be social when I want to be.

That said, there is nothing better to me than being solitary and writing.

Just looked you up on Amazon and ordered “Tale of Five Lies” and can’t wait to start reading! 🙂
