Prominence Earth

Prominence Earth (Photo credit: Lights In The Dark)

I watched with mouth agape at the volcanic eruption as earth spurted in anger.

‘What’s this? Why so much anger, so much stress?’

‘Because I’ve been so unfairly treated,’ said Mr. Earth,

‘By who?,’ I asked in fear.

‘By the sons of men,’ Mr. Earth replied with an ancient growl

that ruled the waves of the sea.

‘I’m tired of the bloodshed, the hunger and the tears of the innocent,

men raping women, children killing adults and babies,

evil abounds and I’m losing my patience

my core will spill out and it’s not going to be pretty.’

I was quiet, staring in disbelief as the rain of fire intensified

I’ll better run, I mused and found out my feet was glued

to the ground as lava moved stealthily towards me.

‘Only a change of heart can save your planet,’

Mr. Earth’s eerie voice receded into

darkness and I woke up!

It was all a dream…

The world’s people definitely need to change. Very well said Seyi

  4. Amazing true! Globally our weather is rapidly changing where your unable to recognize seasons and weather disasters are occurring frequently. Some days I watched the news via stream in other states just to notice an increase of violence by young people, parents killing their infants, suicide-homidcides(domestic violence), and the total disregard of our planet for the all mighty dollar. So was it really a dream? No, more like a reality check. Thanks for sharing.

It wasn’t a dream, just my poetic thoughts, how I wished it was! The rate at which we are going in that destructive part is alarming, most times I try to ignore the news but there is no escaping this, we just have to change for the better, all of us! Thanks for your comment and for stopping by!

Was it really just a dream? Perhaps instead it was a wake up call!

It wasn’t a dream, just my poetic thought or so I call it but we should really be more caring towards our planet, it’s the only one we got… For now! Thanks for stopping by-:)

    Dear Mr Earth,
Do not do the same with us as you get tired of that we do. Be patient Mr Earth, just a little more, because we don’t know what we are doing our tears will drown this world. Please Mr Earth I will change my heart and this kindle will be followed by heart to heart.

    Yours Sincerely

Good message Seyi, good message. Kind of like a wake up call that rings in the hearts of all who need conviction as Purity and Wisdom alongside Mr Earth cry out to save them before they slowly fade into the deep abyss of their sin.

Caught in moments, a pause to think, what does not lead to devastation and destruction of ones own environment and of those and what surrounds us. If we can not find change, the natural world will always at some point find a way to revoke in an instant, our opportunity to change in better ways than those we follow. Thank you for the read Sandra..

I don’t think it was a dream, somehow… the raping, the harm, my God, I am just exhausted by it too – exhausted trying to comprehend. Such little, little regard for life – or no, none: and so often no regard for female life; female that will bear male… and female, so that human life on planet earth continues. No respect, no foresight. It chills me really, Seyisandra.
