Yet Another Day…

I wish your lives would be bright this year!

‘The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” Abraham Lincoln.

I love new beginnings, the ability to start again and I think that’s what excites me most about a new year, every January, I tend to have lofty visions of what I want to achieve, projections and expectations. Some years, I meet my targets and other years, well, life just happens.

Not that I’m bothered, I always shrugged my shoulders and think, ‘well, I have yet another day.’

And that’s what a new year is all about, yet another day.

2015 is not different, I have visions, but there is a change in me – I really want to enjoy this year, I have that determination to be happy, live each day at a time. Humans are essentially creations of habits, we tend to have certain ways of doing things and I’m not different. However, this year, I want to step out of my comfort zone and do something different (positive things! 🙂 ) that I wouldn’t normally do.

I also want to use this opportunity to appreciate you all. 2014 was a year that I went through a few personal struggles which most of you know about, but that’s what makes life what it is, sometimes unpredictable but overall enjoyable. Your love is what makes this earth a better place to live. I am grateful for your kindness friends, thank you everyone!

I love how Abraham Lincoln put it simply, ‘The future is living one day at a time.’ How right he was…

What visions do you have this year? I would really love to hear from you my friends.

I wish you a Happy New Year, I hope this year would be filled with love, laughter, and peace!

Much love, always! 🙂

This new year i want to live an impactful life, shed off unnecessary activities that add no value, find a mentor in my career field, input more hardwork in my studies and above all live a ‘Jesusfilled’ life. Happy new year, wishing you the very best of the year.

      Have a great year!

      • Al says:

Thanks Seyi. That’s something that won’t happen for me unfortunately. It should have done had I done what I was supposed to, but I didn’t so it won’t. Never mind though.

      • Seyi sandra says:

I don’t know you as a pessimist Al. And I don’t believe there’s only one woman whom you can love, maybe you didn’t move when you ought to, all the same, pls, don’t give up on love…

      • Al says:

I didn’t. It gave up on me lol

I was talking to some friends the other night. One of those funny conversations that go all down the wrong paths. I was asked if I was single and I said yes. I said “I’m celibate by choice. Everybody else’s choice” lol

      • Seyi sandra says:

Apologies for just replying now Al, been so busy offline. I think I understand your point but I’m an hopeless romantic, love always finds a way and it will in your case! 🙂
Have a great week my friend and warm regards to your lovely family!

      • Al says:

No need to apologise Seyi 🙂 Time and tide wait for no one. In fact, it runs past screaming “HAHA! You can’t catch me!”

      • Seyi sandra says:

Glad you understand! 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your day Al.

      • Al says:

        You too 🙂

And don’t forget to vote for the Photo of the Year for a chance to win a print – There is just two days left 🙂

      • Seyi sandra says:

Will do so now. Just been going through my backlog of posts before my editor comes back to the office. Sometimes I don’t feel like working just blogging. 🙂 🙂

      • Al says:

Yeah I get like that sometimes. Although I am taking an extended blogging leave after Wednesday as I need to try and find the time I am missing.

      • Seyi sandra says:

That’s good, pls do. Resting makes you feel invigorated when you come back! Have fun Al!

      • Al says:

I will try to. Hopefully it will give me more time to work on my book which has been on a back burner since last year

      • Seyi sandra says:

That’s great news. Hope you won’t stay too long though. 🙂

      • Al says:

        I’ll try not to

    Seyi,

I hope you find what your looking for from this new year. I have found in my life that I lose my joy when I let things get too complicated. I have found that simplicity leads to less drama, less drama leads to a happier life. I wish you the best and I love your always positive spirit. Peace.

Ah, my friend, I wish you a great year and look forward to sharing it with you and seeing where your adventures take you. I shall be hear supporting you as ever and encouraging you in any way I can. I don’t have many ideas about what I want to do this year, head around locally and take some photos to aid with the blog and to write and keep encouraging my fellow bloggers, I like achieveable goals!

    • Seyi sandra says:

Thanks so much Ste J. Last year, my response to circumstances was not up to par, that was why I want to enjoy myself and try to live one day at a time this year.

I appreciate you my friend, and I look forward to your posts and I think achievable goals gives one peace of mind rather than lofty ideas (not that it’s bad to dream big) but I guess we all know our capabilities. I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of this week.
      Love and blessings.

      • Ste J says:

Time is precious but life gets in the way and makes us forget typically, this year though has the potential to be the best year yet! I look forward to the posts of yours yet to come you competing your goals with aplomb.

  13. Hi Seyi, I am excited about the new year and all the possibilities it holds !! Having been through our family emergency this past month and seeing our son in law getting better every day puts everything into perspective for me !! I want our family to have a happy, healthy and successful year and I just want to do better at all my goals than I did last year !! Lose a bit of weight, save a bit of money, pay off some bills, normal boring goals, but they bring me joy !! Time with family and friends is most important !!
I hope your new year brings you all you desire !! Great success , great health , and great happiness to you in 2015 !!!

    • Seyi sandra says:

I love a phrase I got from a (love) song “From tonight until the end of time” because I am a “hopeless romantic pragmatist” who see in the morning as the first day of the rest of my life – there are threats enough, we don’t have to create them ourselves – so 2015 here we come… 😀

All the best wishes to you and yours, my friend… 😉

    • Seyi sandra says:

I love your comment my friend, ‘there are threats enough, we don’t have to create them ourselves,’ that’s so true. And I hope you’ll have a great year!

I appreciate your visit, thanks so much Ledrakenoir!
Love and blessings to you! 🙂

  16. Seyi, You are so sweet! Sending you much love for 2015 and I hope that this year brings you many gifts and smiles 🙂 xo

  17. Sherri says:

Dear Seyi, how I do hope and pray that this year will indeed bring you beautiful, positive, exciting and carefree adventures, those things you hunger for that are light and fun and bright and out of the ordinary. That lightness that takes us above the darkness after the long haul and all the problems and tiredness that comes with it. I am so very thankful for you and your wonderful friendship. The photo is stunning, and matches your beautiful words perfectly. Every day is a new day indeed…to be embraced and enjoyed. I say that to myself, as you help to remind of me of this priceless blessing. Sending you much love, peace and joy in the moment…every moment my dear friend 🙂 xx

    • Seyi sandra says:

Thanks Sherri for your wonderful comment! 🙂 It brightens up my day!!

I know this year would indeed be better than last year. I love the way you wrote it, ”That lightness that takes us above the darkness after the long haul and all the problems and tiredness that comes with it.” Light shatters darkness, and I’m certain that not only me, but you would also experience incredible joy and light this year. There is power in positive thinking, and I pray that everything we do this year would be a huge success.
I’m continually grateful for your friendship, thank you and do enjoy the rest of your week!

Much love and blessings to you dear friend! 🙂 🙂

      • Sherri says:

Yes..absolutely! The light that shatters all darkness…time to be energised, renewed and uplifted. Have a beautiful weekend and much love and blessings right back to you dear friend 🙂 ❤

A vision, 2015 for what I see and am willing to evolve towards, something small, simple, to find, to appreciate a moment’s flower in each hour, and to carry time within my heart across the seasons. I do not ask for much, but will endeavour to stay true and open to such a choice..
