I love cartoons, and I watched one today with my kids called, ‘Wander Over Yonder,’ it’s hilarious! My kids loved it, and I did too. The story was not quiet childish though. There was a lovely planet inhabited by goats, every year, a troll would come visiting and steal all their food. These goats were strong, and very brave but so fickle minded they could hardly take an unkind word. The troll would insult them, and the more they listened and fight back, the more the troll grew bigger and stronger!
That’s more like us isn’t it? When we listen to haters, they have the upper hand, when we ignore them, believe me, they would disappear! Words hurt, I know, but we can rise above the hatred, we can fight by ignoring evil people because when we trade insults, they would grow stronger.
The goats were finally able to destroy the troll – they simply ignored it. It was an ‘it.’ That’s right, some haters are ‘it,’ inconsequential, powerless. Believe me, sometimes, maybe many times, we encourage people to hurt us… We could always change that by not feeding their hatred! We can soar above them.
I learnt a valuable lesson today, I hope someone, somewhere is reading this, and they can just get on with their lives, leaving the trolls behind!

Children are on summer holiday, mine included, which explains why I’ve not updated my blog in a while. However, I’ve been visiting as many blogs as I could and would continue to do so when my troops allow it.
Have a wonderful week my friends! 🙂
Much love, always!
A very valuable lesson there Seyi.
Yes indeed!
No, neeeever ever….! What a gorgeous capture!
That’s good to read Dina! Glad you stopped by! 🙂
Totally agree with you!
Glad you do! Appreciate your visit.
Great post! Trolls are like bullies. and there are trolls aplenty on the internet. Great advice, too. Ignoring them is definitely the way to go!
Glad you like the post Jack. Trolls are everywhere, they’re like parasites! I appreciate your visit and comment.
Blessings. 🙂
I like movies for children that give uplifting lessons. It is so true to feed the ugliness with returned ugliness only makes the ugly uglier. Enjoy your children they grow much too fast. 🙂
Thanks Kim! I would enjoy them as much as I could now before they fly off the nest, time fly too fast nowadays. Thanks for stopping by my friend!
Blessings. 🙂
So wonderful when you can find something to watch that the whole family can enjoy.
Keep enjoying summer break with your kids. 🙂
{Hugs}
Thanks Rosy, I’m enjoying the summer or what’s left of it! I hardly have time for anything else!! Thanks Rosy for your visit and comment, have a great week.
Blessings. 🙂
Seyi, good on you for watching it with your children. They will remember the discussions and sharing with you more than the show itself. It sounds like it was a great opportunity to learn about trolls from a safe distance. I love family talks that just kinda happen because we shared a movie or song together.
Blessings ~ Wendy ❀
I realise that it’s good my husband and I enjoy things together now with the kids before they fly out of the nest. We try to plan activities together as a family, it’s great but time consuming in a good way! 🙂 Thanks for your warm comment Wendy, I appreciate it. Have a blessed week.
Much love. 🙂
Nice eagle shot. Enjoy those kids while you can, they grow up much too quickly.
Thanks my friend, we try to enjoy them as much as we can, they grow up too fast! I’m grateful for your visit. 🙂
great post and a wonderful lesson !!
Thanks Stephie, grateful for your visit.
I love your post Seyi! Trolls, bullies, haters, are all horrible people we should steer clear off. Unfortunately, life is a mixture of all sorts of characters, some good, some bad, and some plain evil.
Have a great week Seyi!
Christy Nelson.
Thanks Christy. I’m glad you like the post. Like you said, life is full of haters, we just steer clear them as much as we could! Grateful for your visit!
🙂
My pleasure Seyi, you always churn out thought-provoking posts. Can’t wait to read one of your short stories again, you’ll do one soon, won’t you? 🙂
Thanks for your kindness Christy! I would definitely do a short story soon. Have a great day!

Great lesson, Sandra. Enjoy your time with the kids.
Thanks Celestine, I’m enjoying my time, so busy! Have a great week my friend. 🙂
It is exceedingly difficult to ignore the *trolls*, off and online both! You’re absolutely right in the only way to fight them is to ignore them. It’s almost like a Superman and Kryptonite….saps their powers. Unfortunately, I had a recent experience with a literal troll army…there were some very hurtful things said, but a couple people did speak up. That made a huge difference. As did the conversation that I then had with my kids about this very topic. It is so important for them to know, being more vulnerable than adults, that if they don’t react….they aren’t as much “fun” for the trolls/bullies. It can be beyond challenging when one is hurt to remember that though!!
As always you write on very thought provoking topics! 🙂 I hope you enjoy your time with family and have days filled with joy and happiness… Blessings dear friend ♥ ~
You’re so right Christina, ignoring trolls online and offline can be a mammoth task but it can be done. I’m so sorry about your recent experience but glad at the same time that you moved on from it. Life is full of haters, we can’t do anything about hurtful things said to us, but we can do something about our own reactions, even though most times, it’s always hard but in the end, we would feel much better!
I’m grateful for your visit and comment dear friend! Take care of yourself and have a blessed week!
Much love. 🙂
I couldn’t agree more, my sister. There is always a lesson to learn from children’s movies and book. And I personally love watching cartoons – Tom and Jerry, my all time favorite. Please send my warm regards to your family.
Thanks so much Uzoma, it’s refreshing to see you here, I appreciate it! I’ll visit yours soon. Cartoons are interesting, I love Tom and Jerry too!
Appreciate your visit bro!
Much love. 🙂
Internet trolling seems like a hobby for some people, it does my head, if everybody just encouraged their peers to do better then we would all be much more happier but then it is easier to ruin than to create…that’s why so many bloggers are really lovely people.
Your words caught my attention, ‘it’s easier to ruin than create!’ you’re absolutely right! A lot of work goes into any creative endeavour and destroying a decade’s work could take less than ten seconds… That the strange world we live in my friend!!
Enjoy your holidays with the children… one to make memories! Much love Ute
Thanks Ute, we’re making the memories! Hope you’re enjoying summer my friend?
Hugs and love to you! 🙂
I was curious and stopped by. The troll story is powerful, wise and at the same time beautiful.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
