A Straw In The Wind

Straw

Straw (Photo credit: GlacierTim)

The wind kept blowing, taking me to places I never wanted to be

I felt myself been lifted high above the clouds and I sigh!

I saw a girl with brown hair, laughing

I fell back into the grass

There was no sound

Her laughter echoes and the force of it threw me off course and I drifted off

She giggles and I envied her beauty and innocence.

No wonder, I am envious, I am only a straw

Nobody cares for a straw

Lifeless straw!

Humans stepped on me but I can feel and sniffs tales from afar

Christmas is near, the end of the age is not far, some says

I have no qualms, after all

I am only a straw in the wind

with no cares in the world

Why do humans worry for what they cannot change!

Why stress over destiny?

Why fret over imaginations?

Why do they live in the past?

Afraid to move on!

I have no idea

Besides, I am only a straw

with no cares in the world

Wheeee, the wind is back

And as it took me off

I saw the girl with the brown hair again

And I wonder

What fate awaits her!

This is one of my poetic thoughts, I hope you’ll enjoy reading my life as a straw!

Happy Holidays Everyone! It’s Xmas soon isn’t it?

Maybe the lifeless straw might find a friend in the straw of the fields on their next landing, where they can watch the sunrise over the ocean together…

Why do you worry…consider the lilies…Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these…Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will come as well…paraphrased from the Bible, Book of Matthew.

    Excellent written… 🙂

“why do humans worry for what they cannot change” – a very good point – and worry for what we CAN change… 🙂
