A Glimpse Of Bliss

Love is in the air!

Love is in the air! It’s all around us!!

Life (love) is a pilgrimage. The wise man does not rest by the roadside inns. He marches direct to the illimitable domain of eternal bliss, his ultimate destination.

Swami Sivananda

How does one attain bliss in life? How does one attain bliss in relationships? I don’t think there is a clean-cut answer, but I bet it starts with a pure heart. That doesn’t mean the pure don’t get dumped, they do, but they can always pick themselves up again and march on regardless of their situation.

Not everyone celebrates Valentine’s day, the day set aside for lovers because some don’t believe in love anymore, maybe they have been burned several times and are now cynical. I still believe in love in its purest form, (not the kind of trash we see on films sometimes) there is still a lot of love in this beautiful planet of ours, we only need to look deeper to find the truth.
I hope you would all have a wonderful day today, love is the only thing we need in this world, the only remedy that can make our world full of bliss. We would not only catch a glimpse of bliss when we allow love into our hearts, we would live in a world free from pain.
Much love, always!
🙂

There is always pain with bliss; they are the two sides of the love coin.

I feel blessed with love although it’s not always blissful! But I wish everyone was surrounded with love.

Love is worth the risk and effort

  5. I was lucky to find the right one very young. We have been together 33 years and it has never been hard. We have always put each other first and try to be considerate and we also are each others best friend as well. We just enjoy our time together , even if it is runnig errands. I do not take it for granted, I thank God every day for the blessing of our marriage and family together !!
Happy Valentines Day Seyi !! I wish you love and happiness every day !!!

Such lovely tale of love Stephie, you are truly blessed and lucky indeed. I wish you more love, long life with your beau and laughter.

I appreciate your visit my friend and I wish you a happy Valentines’ day!
      Blessings. 🙂

  6. I too believe love is all we need. Designating a day for love is kind of silly in my opinion. I don’t want flowers, candies or an expensive dinner on Valentine’s Day. True love is expressed every day with mutual respect and appreciation of each other.

    • Seyi sandra says:

Thanks for your comment Jill. I believe in love and designating a day for it may be silly but still a worthy effort on the part of humans. It signals hope that love would conquer the world in a day not too long. It doesn’t have to be a lovers day only, but the fact that in this sinful world, people still realise the importance of that four letter word makes me hopeful of a better world. And in my opinion, it makes even the coldest of heart to realise that love is all we need.

I hope you’ll have a beautiful weekend my friend!
      Blessings. 🙂

  7. Have a lovely weekend Seyi. God bless. Mojisola http://www.mojintouch.com

  8. Every day is a special day for celebrating love. In this case, I do not need a special day just to tell my girlfriend that I love her :).

    • Seyi sandra says:

I get your point but it’s still great to celebrate love. I look for every excuse to send gifts and get some too! 🙂 IT’S like celebrating life. Appreciate your comment and visit dear friend!
      Blessings.

  9. I like how you start of with Life(love)… Beautiful 🙂

I am so glad you quoted the Swami S. and this is very meaningful. I am sad to say that I found a collection of lovely bloggers awaiting approval in this terrible waiting cell. I don’t often check it and your comment was so sweet, about liking to dress up and your daughter liked to play dress up, too.
I apologize for this belated Happy Valentine’s Day wish. I have been following your for over a year, somehow your comments from time to time, and your posts don’t always show up in my Reader. Not just you, 28 others were in the ‘holding cell’ with you. I will try to remember to check this, but hope from NOW on, Seyi, we can stay better connected. I love your posts and deeper thoughts. They mean a lot to me, my friend.

    • Seyi sandra says:

Thanks for your kind comment my friend. Don’t bother yourself too much about the missing posts, I think WP somehow allow people’s posts to go astray. However, I’m happy we’ll be better connected than before. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine, mine was cool, hubby bought me an unexpected present while I gave him the usual! 🙂

Sometimes my posts comes in trickles due to my work commitments, but I would definitely visit your site as often I can. Take care of yourself!
      Much love. 🙂

I feel blessed for my children and grandchildren. My friends think I cannot pick a good man, although I really am careful and try hard, so love as a journey or even a possible destination, is all just a dream so far for me. I decided to check out your blog again today, which I agree work and family do take us away from writing. I hope you have a lovely week, Seyi. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and supportive comments about crime and punishment on my post recently. Smiles!

People say that love is blind but really I think it is people that are blind to love. Share it out in all its forms and make everybody smile and feel a part of something. The portrayal of love on TV and film is terrible but sadly people think it has to be like that now, that that is how it works, it is bewildering but not as bewildering as when an owl turns it’s neck 180 degrees.

    • Seyi sandra says:

Lots of people are definitely blind to love, sometimes I believe the real meaning of love has gotten lost in lust and infatuation. I’m fan of owl, and the way an owl turned it’s neck still baffles me till this day. Appreciate your visit my friend.

  13. Someone once told me that love is overrated, I disagreed, and I still do. Love is something we should live by everyday, not the unrealistic display of emotions we watch daily on TV. The recent film of ‘fifty shades of grey’ is one of such. The film portrays women as ‘play things,’ it’s such a sad state of affairs. Before I digress further, let me congratulate you on another outstanding post! Well done you!
    Christy.

Love is one aspect of living in bliss for me…. To many love filled days to come!

  15. I wonder if love is the most perfect when we forget to notice.. we miss it only when it’s gone.

Reblogged this on The Jenny Mac Book Blog and commented:
Okay I have to admit on Saturday I didn’t even want to acknowledge Valentine’s Day. I even went as far as to wear this sort of screw V-Day outfit; however Seyi reminded me with this beautiful post that love is worth waiting for.

  17. Sherri says:

Dear Seyi, your message bring bliss to my heart as you show so much love for all. I tell this message to my middle boy whose heart was so broken a year ago by someone he thought loved him. True love is worth waiting for indeed, the bliss of that true love will flood his life at the right time. But even more than that is the real love we hold for one another as family and loved ones, and yes, dear friends. Bless you dear friend…much love to you 🙂

    • Seyi sandra says:

Oh my, my warm regards to your son. I’m glad he has a wise woman as a mother, and you’ve done the right thing by him – love would come at the right time, it’s evidently worth waiting for. Tell him to believe in it still…

I appreciate your visit my dear friend and I hope your weekend has been great so far, do have a blessed night rest!
Much love to you my dear friend! 🙂

      • Sherri says:

Thank you so much dear Seyi. We had a lovely weekend and hope you did too…and a good week ahead. Bless you and much love to you my friend 🙂

  18. RoSy says:

Love & hugs to you dear Seyi Sandra. xo

  19. Seyi, what a refreshing post to see and read. Yes, I still believe in love too. ❤

Blessings on your weekend ~ Wendy ❀

I enjoyed your thoughts on love = bliss, and love is all around. The purple (crocus?) flower is so gorgeous too. Love found me after many years of bad relationships/poor choices, but I’ve always had love – for my child, my friends, animals, the natural world. I’m grateful for that! Cheers. 🙂

Maybe that wise man could have found his eternal bliss at that roadside inn.
