”We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call to attention their shinning – they just shine.” Dwight L. Moody
What Jesus did and is still doing for humanity is simple. He became our light, he simply allowed himself to align with our frailty, weakness, and mortality and when he did that, we became one with Him when we believe. Jesus is the irrefutable sacrifice, the ultimate hope of eternity. In Him, we have the hope that even though our time in this world is limited, our joy in heaven is limitless.
The international rock star and social activist, Bono’s song about Yahweh capture my mood in this beautiful season, his quote on Christ was spot on. Please watch if you’ve got the time.
”But with Christ, we have access in a one-to-one relationship, for, as in the Old Testament, it was more one of worship and awe, a vertical relationship. The New Testament, on the other hand, we look across at a Jesus who looks familiar, horizontal. The Combination is what makes the Cross.” Bono
I love this song below, it sent me down memory lane.
”Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world. That cross and resurrection at the core of the Gospel is the only hope for humanity. Wherever you go, ask God for wisdom on how to get that Gospel in, even in the toughest situations of life.” Ravi Zacharias.
Jesus is our hope in this world of sin and imperfection. Let Him be your friend, He’s already mine!
I hope all my Christian friends would have a wonderful Easter, Jesus lives! And to my non-Christian friends, I love you still, have a fantastic holiday!
Much love, always! 🙂
Yes, He is. Our hope in this sinful world.
Happy Easter Seyi. God bless.

Yeah right! Christ is our hope!! Have a beautiful Easter Mojisola. God bless you. 🙂
I love U2. This article is perfect for Easter. Bono is one of my favourite musicians and the fact that he’s bold in declaring his faith in Christ is incredible. We live in a world where most ‘Christians’ are shy to let the world know about their faith. I think it’s imperative as a Christian to be bold and tell naysayers, yeah, I believe in Christ!
You’ve made my Easter more interesting. Have a fantastic holiday Seyi.
Cheers.

I’m glad you think so, I appreciate your comment.
I quiet agree with you, most of us are sometimes uncomfortable and maybe, shy of our faith. I think it’s partly due to our multicultural society. If you tell your colleagues at work about your faith, many may frown at your boldness. Christians have been subjects of attack from the mainstream media and atheists in times past. Anything we do or say is frowned upon. However, I think it’s important we live our lives in a way people would be able to point their hands and, ‘truly, that’s Christian.’
I hope your Easter would be filled with love and laughter!
Blessings. 🙂
Well written. We march on regardless of what the world think. Deep down, I think people are keen to fill the void in their souls. I second your thoughts on living a life that people would want to emulate.
Enjoy your holiday Seyi.
🙂 🙂
Thanks, wish you the same!
🙂
Beautiful post, Seyi. Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter. xo
Thanks Jill. I pray your Easter is filled love and the hope we share in Christ.
Blessings. 🙂
Easter gives hope for tomorrow,
As after the winter comes Spring.
Our hearts can be filled with gladness
As hearts rejoice and sing.
Happy Easter
