You Can Be The Light!

Sun, God and Humans!

When darkness seems to engulf all around you.

You can be the light

When your heart beat rapidly like a Banjo drum.

You can be the light

When all thoughts of courage are far between.

You can be the light

When hopes, seems to fade into oblivion.

You can be the light.

In the midst of gloom and despair.

You can be the light

In the midst of darkness and tyranny.

You can be the light.

When you are the light,

your life, and path are secured.

Many times, I’ve looked to others to do something about a situation or things I find appalling, and when  I realise nobody is willing to do anything, I step in! I’m generalizing here. Aptly put,  what I’m trying to say is this, we can make a change… Things can get better if everyone puts in their quota to make this world a better place. Just a kind word, a smile, little coins here and there, can actually make a huge difference.

Have a pleasant, stress free weekend everyone… Here in the UK, we’re having a long weekend, there ‘s a bank holiday on Monday! (wooohooo!)

Live well dear friends.

Much love, always!

Thanks for sharing, Seyi; your words made me smile. It’s so true and easy to lose sight of — we can all make a difference. No matter how small it may seem, every small act adds up. Best wishes for a wonderful (long!) weekend right back at you…

I understand what you are saying…..but look around the world. Is the world getting better or worse? The biggest thing going on that you don’t read about in the news……is God is re-creating. Isn’t that good news?

When His last sheep comes to the cross……this old world will be destroyed and Eden will be restored. Now that’s good news.

Liking the poem, liking the poem a lot, so I won’t hit the like button. After reading your poem, Sandra, I found a few rhythmic tunes dancing in my thoughts, and found myself singing a number of phrases from the words you’ve written below the poem. I may come back to write something yet, after I catch up on a bunch of reading and comments… Have a good week!
