Life

I love the expression on his face. Life is beautiful.

Earlier today, I was going through my posts on Facebook and saw this short article. I wrote it on April 16th, 2019. A lot has happened since then and this is just an update. However, the bottom line is, God has always been faithful. I am so grateful to be alive today. In January this year, I was sure I may not see the next morning due to so many obstacles I don’t want to write about yet. I want to encourage anyone reading this, the sun will shine again. Everything you are going through will make you stronger, just hold on.

If you have time, please read on.😀

God has been good to me, but it has not been plain sailing. I’ve had several surgeries in my short life. My heart has stopped thrice on an operating table.

I’ve experienced the loss of a child, and I’ve been blessed with three beautiful children.
I’ve lost my sweet, dearest father, but I carry in me, his strength, and love.

I’d endured pains unimaginable, yet, God has not handed me over to death. Life is hard, and incredibly beautiful at the same time.

If you meet someone on the street, and ask,
’excuse me, do you have a story?’ I bet they’ll tell you things you’d never have expected.

That’s the reason I enjoy reading more than writing, the passion behind my love for books, and publishing the works of other writers.

Bottom line, let’s be kind to one another. Life is short, and love is not costly, it is the most incredible gift in this part of heaven.

Let’s make love, not war. Let’s see beauty in diversity, not racism. Let’s see humanity, not religion. Let’s see hope, not despair.

Let’s work hard, and enjoy the rewards. Let’s build, not destroy. Let’s give, for we came to this world with nothing, and will leave with nothing.

Love can change our world.
Who wants love?

Much love, always!☺️

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are and who you want to become. You never know who these people may be: your neighbor, child, long lost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential strength, will power, or heart.

..What we expect from God so often seems to contradict what we experience in life. We find ourselves wanting to ask: If God is good, then why did this happen? If God is all-powerful, then where is He now? If God loves me, why am I not happier? Richer? Why don’t I have fewer problems and more peace? If God is pleased with me, why don’t I experience more pleasure?
Unanswered questions like theses, threaten our enthusiasm and heartfelt commitment to our beliefs. We find our faith growing more stoic, our view of God less emotive. We are left to slug it out on our own, believing that the only relevant resources are in this present world…

I believe God doesn’t want us too put limitation on those that are hurt and lost in a distorted lifestyle. That extra boost is Jesus, coming to him when your son is so lost in drugs you are at you wicks end . Or when you pass on someone that you feel will never make it…there is no hope why bother. Jesus is our source of strength, we can lead on him when we get a bad report from the doctor, a layoff on the job, and eviction notice on your home. Amen Amen!!

A beautiful and touching read. The more so because it is original, it is true, and reflects the life of many too. God Almighty is so faithful and loving. There’s a life changing lesson to be learnt in every challenge we face in life, if only we can wait on the Lord to help us see it through.

Love is everything. Just like @Jeff said earlier, it will be wonderful to see a Love Revolution for once. It’s really long overdue.

Thank you so much Seyi for inspiring me this day. May your life remain filled with overflowing grace, blessings, healing and divine protection nonstop.

Do have a lovely day and week ahead. ⚘

Thank you for your kind comment Kip.

You are right, the pandemic has ripped through our world, affecting millions of families, and those with existing medical conditions find it harder to cope but with God, all things are possible. I also agree with Jeff, the world is reeling from so many problems yet we still find time to hate and fight unnecessary battles. Love can change our world and people can lay down their arms and embrace each other, I look forward to that day Kip.

Hope is possible too, a single flower of love can bloom amidst the unfairness of life and change things. I am pleased I could inspire you my friend, I hope you’ll continue to stay safe under the arms of the Almighty God.

I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of your week. 🙂 🙂

Thank you Damilare, I am doing well actually, I am just thanking God for His mercies and love, may our help continually be from God, the source of all things.

You posted this on my son Derek’s 34th birthday! I can still vividly remember when he was the age of this young boy. We just got done celebrating a nice Easter dinner that my daughter Katrina cooked! Neither of them are fans of ham, and I don’t think she has the confidence to cook a lamb. So, we had a turkey with all the trimmings! Hope you are having a Happy Easter! I’m not into magical thinking, but I do support the idea of rebirth/second chances! — YUR

    • Seyi Sandra says:

Oh my! That’s so surreal Unclerave. Life is full of coincidences like these. I’m glad you had a great Easter dinner, that’s awesome!😀 I had a lovely Easter with my family yesterday, we went to church (online) and had a sumptuous Easter lunch and then relaxed watching the ‘King of Kings’ which summarises Jesus’s birth, crucifixion and resurrection. It was great, will spend today relaxing again before work starts tomorrow. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy your Easter break. Blessings to you and your family!☺️✨🌸
