Living In The Moment…

The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters. Audrey Hepburn

I agree with Audrey on this and I hope everyone is having the time of their lives. Time certainly flies with incredible speed, I can’t believe that it’s almost five weeks since my last post, I’ve been neck-deep in series of projects which is going on fine but I miss everyone dearly. I’ve often squeezed time out to visit some of your blogs, but I find it extremely hard to write my posts. My work load has lessened considerably, I’ve dealt with most of the deadlines, and finally, I can breathe amidst the chaos that was my office.

A lot has happened, I celebrated my birthday on Oct 14th, it was a blast, and the rest of the month flew past. I hope everyone is okay? I’ll be visiting all your blogs often as time permits. I would also be updating this site often now, I miss you guys! 🙂

Now, on living in the moment, on October 29, 1941, Winston Churchill visited Harrow’s school graduation in London and said these immortal words,

”Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

I know someone would find this quote helpful, it certainly made me realise that to live my life well, in the moment, I just have to believe and press on towards my goal.  I want this to be a short post, so I’ll cut it down now! 🙂

I hope you’ve all had a great week so far, I wish you all joy, peace, and protection! Stay safe friends and don’t get into trouble.

Much love, always. 🙂

  1. I hope you enjoyed your birthday. I’m glad and proud that you met your deadlines and that life will slow down a bit for you. Living in the moment is a beautiful thought. Though it sounds easy we keep dwelling on the past and peaking into the future. Hugs my love, it’s good seeing you I have missed you.

  2. It takes me weeks to visit all the blogs I follow! 🙂

wow – this is amazing and brilliant – elite image!

  4. It is amazing how many folks we can converse with via blogging. If you were to tell somebody 20 years ago that thousands of people read your writings, they would have thought you to be crazy.

So good to hear from you again!!! My father used to say, “I have no purpose in life other than to add to the sum total of happiness. If it makes someone happy to laugh at me, that I have succeeded.”
You are one of those that adds to the “sum total of happiness.” Not that anyone laughs at you, quite the contrary, but what you post is always encouraging and uplifting. A million thanks and Aloha – pjs.

  7. Excellent post Seyi. Partly, I know how busy you are, and it’s amazing how you juggle such a demanding career. I really like this post, I’m sure a lot of people would gain one or two things visiting your website.
    Christy. 🙂

Time is something that there seems not enough of. Every time we have more, it is gobbled up again quickly. “Time and tide wait for no man” or woman, or child, or anything.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday, and I hope your week has been going well.

You’re absolutely right Al. Time is so precious and sometimes I feel as if 24 hours a day is short for the amount of work I need to do.

My birthday was a loving distraction, I was spoilt silly, wished it could be like that all days! My week has been great, hope yours was lovely too. My love to all that is yours old friend.

Happy belated birthday!!! I hope you had a wonderful day! I’m glad that you have conquered a lot of your deadlines, perhaps you can find some time to put your feet up for a bit. I like that Churchill quote, it is very apt for a lot of people methinks.

Thanks my friend, I had a wonderful time! I’m just glad that most of my deadlines have been met! Churchill knew the art of gearing people up. Glad you like it.

    Happy Birthday Seyi Sandra!
My mom’s birthday was on the 16th of Oct. We’re just getting to celebrate it tomorrow as a family. I did go visit her on her actual bday though.
Life is about celebrating every day – eh? 😉

    • Seyi sandra says:

Thanks so much Rosy! Your mum would definitely appreciate your visit, my warm wishes and love to her. I love celebrating every mundane milestone of life, it does keeps me sane! 🙂 🙂

So wonderful to see you back here Seyi, oh I’ve missed you my friend! Happy Birthday to you, so happy that things are going so well for you. Always pressing on towards our goals, so, so important. Every day, as I’m learning, much better to do something than nothing, even if that something is small. I hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend…much love to you dear friend 🙂

I can sympathise with not having enough time to write posts or comment on the blogs of others. I have to make specific time in the day to do any of it hence, why it has been so long since I last visited yours – for which I apologise!

    • Seyi sandra says:

Glad to see you here. I perfectly understand. Time is very much in short supply and we have so much to do. Do take things easy and prioritise… I bet I should take that advice myself! 🙂

  17. dayya says:

Hi Seyi, nice to hear from you; I sympathize with the all-consuming busy time–never enough time in a day! Churchill’s words are an inspiration– just the thing when spirit flags. Love the joyful tone of your blog, D:))
