”I will not wish thee riches, nor the glow of greatness,
But that wherever you go, some weary heart shall
Gladden at thy smile, or shadowed life know
Sunshine for a while.
And so thy path shall be a track of light,
Like angel’s footsteps passing through the night!

These words gladden my heart and I hope you’ll find wisdom in it friends!

Beautiful photo and words. Nice post 🙂
Thanks for your kind words John!
Goodness me! I like them. They are so good enough to be framed. Thanks, Sandra 🙂
Thanks Uzoma, I’m glad you liked my post.
Much love-:)
Great find! There are a lot of old inscriptions out there in stone and wood, etc. If one were to collect say, five inscriptions at random, what sort of poem/story/characters do you think they might inspire?
A lot my friend, on this alone I could write two adult length novels, let’s just wait and see. Inspirations can come from anywhere and I’m happy to be connected to a like minded writer like you! It’s a pleasure seeing you here and I truly appreciate your input!
Blessings-:)
It’s good to hear different perspectives, and finds you came across. Two novels, your head must be working overtime right now. It would be interesting to hear your ideas on plots and characters, but I won’t press for that, save it for the possible pages ahead. You and Uzoma, have both been great to connect with, listen to, and converse with, it makes a difference to the whole writing experience. Same here, I appreciate your input!
Cheers… 🙂
Thank you my friend, I wish you peace, love and success in the coming year! Blessings-:)

What a beautiful quote.
Thank you dear friend!
lovely and Petworth is not far from here – such a beautiful little town and we love to walk in Petworth Park where there are lots of deer.
That’s so sweet, I love Petworth! You’re so lucky to live so close by, I live in London and to experience the beauty of the country-side takes a lot of planning. I promised myself to travel more in 2013, thanks for stopping by! Wishing you a great year ahead.
Blessings-:)

These words you found on the church wall are a true treasure. Take Care!
Glad you liked it!
There’s no better way to practice the art of writing than to write a few poems and short stories. Have you ever tried your hand at them? It’s surprising the number of writers that have never done this. Instead they jump straight in with their first novel. ..
